Ways of Cooking Corn on the Cob

For people who are health conscious, corn is very healthy. Though people prefer to have it without cooking also, there are different methods you can cook it. Mostly from May to September, this is usually preferred. Though, it depends on the season of different countries.

Before cooking, you need to take care while buying corn. If it is not fresh, it can make an adverse impact on your health. So, make sure to buy bright green husked corn and make sure the pulp is milky and full.

Properly check by peeling off. Before cooking, pee the husk completely.

As mentioned, there are different ways of cooking corn on the cob. Let’s discuss.

• In Microwave
• On the stove top starting with boiled water
• On the stove with cold water

Usually, people prefer to cook it in microwave. If you want to cook only 2-3 ears, this is the better way to adopt. You just need to put corns in dish. Add some water. Don’t add much water as it will make the dish mushy. Cover the lid leaving some space for steam to vent out. After 3-5 minutes, remove the lid, and corns are ready!

Put the corns in big pan with cold water. Put the lid and light the stove. Boil it completely. When the water is completely boiled, switch off the stove. Corns are ready.

Fill a large pan with water. Enough water should be there so that corns dip properly. But don’t make the water overflow. Cover lid and boil. After 2-3 minutes, it’s ready.

This is a very meal and best suited for elderly. So, have healthy meal and treat your family also!

Cooking Ribs in the Oven for a Special Occasion

It’s a special occasion, and you’ve invited your boyfriend to have dinner at your place. But you’re at a loss as to what would go well with a bottle of Chateau La Croix. Is it fish, beef, or pork? You consult Google and find out that beef prime ribs partner best with this specialty wine.

And since your griller is out of commission, cooking ribs in the oven together with potatoes is what you will to do instead. Your menu is fixed.
You rush to the grocery to purchase a pound of prime ribs and potatoes. You return home and marinate the ribs. Two hours before your date arrives, you preheat the oven. At the same time you make sure that the Chateau La Croix is properly chilled.

After an hour and fifteen minutes of baking, your dinner is ready. And while taking the food out of the oven your beloved arrives, as if on cue. Everything is perfect – the food, the drink, your partner.

True enough there are several ways to cook ribs. But regardless of the combination, wine is the drink of choice. No one will stop you from washing down the ribs with soda or pineapple juice if that’s your preference, though.

For those special occasions, prepare a special dish. And prime ribs, regardless of how it is cooked will definitely qualify.
